I make art for two main reasons. Number one, to see my thoughts become objects. Number two, for people to see my ideas. I would not describe myself as the traditional artist, but then again who would. I do not enjoy paint, and I think it is messy. I am more of a designer. I would much rather work with materials that allow me to build. My most recent infatuation is sneakers and I am running with it. My goal is to make things that are original, things that people will take interest in. When I start a new project I think about what I would like to make then think how I can make more people like it. I am going to college for industrial design and I can’t see myself working in a cubicle, so in a way I guess art is my way to enjoying life. Without it I would be boring, and bored. My dream job would be a designer for a small urban sneaker company. I would devote much of my artistic talent to my childhood which was filled with Lego’s and if you have kids I highly recommend them. As an artist I am still very young and developing, from this point there are many directions I can go with my art and I want to experience all types of design before I take a career. I think at this point I am simply experimenting in all the possible fields.
